FOREST OF DEAN AUTUMN COLOUR 1

ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Looking down on the Forest of Dean in Autumn.

PHOTOGRAPHER - STEPHANIE LORD
“The flat, painterly feel of my images reflects my way of looking at the world. I love the graphic shapes and patterns of nature and when I’m composing my images, it’s these elements that I try to capture. It’s often not what’s in the image that’s important but what you leave out.
Wherever I am, I always have my cameras to hand, which means I never miss the sudden change of light on the landscape or that dramatic cloud formation. The ephemeral nature of the digital world, means that so many beautiful images are locked into devices, rather than making our
personal and shared spaces more beautiful. So now I am translating my work onto aluminium and paper, framed and unframed, to be seen and enjoyed by everyone.”

Steph has been working in the world of photography for over 25 years. Having completed an art foundation course at Newport Art College, she went on to study Spatial design at Bournemouth College of Art and then worked as an architectural model maker. For the last 30 years she has
been working in corporate photography, as part of Molyneux Associates.

Artist: Stephanie Lord
Location: Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

Each image will be printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper - a white cotton paper that boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. Combined with the matt inkjet coating, this paper
produces an outstanding print quality that feature brilliant colours and deep blacks.
